At SuiteWorld 2017, NetSuite held the 4th annual Hackathon 4Good. This year, 65 customers, partners, and NetSuite employees teamed up to use NetSuite to solve two challenges for our nonprofit customer, Brightpoint Health. Brightpoint Health is a leading nonprofit provider of integrated health care and social support services to New Yorkers, especially those challenged by poverty, discrimination and lack of access to health care.
The 12 teams produced over 700 collective hours of high skilled, high value volunteering generating over $100,000 worth of impact. The winning team (F8) included employees from several of our partners: FMT Consultants, Luxent, and Softype Inc. Thanks to all those that participated in the Hackathon.
The winning solution extends NetSuite’s native cash management capabilities by using claim data to automatically generate invoices and match claims with payments. The solution enables payments to be recorded in advance of claim data, applies payments based on actual claims paid and manages exceptions when claims are disputed. Overall this enables Brightpoint to understand their cash position in real-time.
